Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, a Canadian-American singer and songwriter. There are more than 20 albums that were released by her. DiFranco's music has been classified as folk-rock and alternative rock but also has influences from punk funk hip music and jazz. Ani Difranco has been deemed to be a feminist legend as well as a Grammy award winner. As one of early female musicians in the 90s, she founded her record label. DiFranco's parents, Elizabeth (Ross), a previous student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each the other when they were both attending. Her mother is from Montreal as is her father, who is Italian origins. 32 Flavors is a hit song that was written by that was performed and written by Ani DiFranco. The song is featured on her album Not a Pretty Girl released in 1995. A variation of the song is featured in the soundtrack to the 1999 Canadian love story Better Than Chocolate. DiFranco apologized to host a seminar in Louisiana at an old slave plantation. The event was cancelled, but some (including the news media) did not see it as a sign of regret. DiFranco issued a further apology several days after. While she has been known as the Little Folksinger her music spans many genres and collaborators ranging across the spectrum from Pete Seeger to Chuck D to Prince. The singer hails from New Orleans. Ani has the name Kristen Ford. At the age of 14, she had begun creating her own music. She performed them in caf s and bars through her teens. DiFranco went to Buffalo State College after graduating at 16 from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts. The new baritone she got was custom-built by Alvarez, made by Chrys Johnston, who at the time was working as the Alvarez Artist Rep. It comes with the System 600 amp and is entirely made of solid woods. It includes a cedar-top mahogany body and sides that feature an ebony-fretboard. Her home is in New Orleans. There she lives with her husband, kids and her long-legged sidekick Lefty. DiFranco has admitted that, three decades after her debut on the music scene, she isn't sure what to expect when looking back. Ani DiFranco was a pop/punk singer and songwriter when she was 25 when her album Not A Pretty Girl hit the charts. Dilate, released in 1996, achieved even greater popularity amongst people who love. The song Brandy (You're A Fine Girl) is a song released in 1972 from the American pop rock band Looking Glass from their debut album Looking Glass.
